Because the lean to roof slopes in only one direction, water flow is an important consideration when choosing a spot for the shed. When it rains, where do you want to water to flow? A constant flood or muddy patch in an oft-traveled space is not ideal.
A lean-to shed roof is nothing but a single, straight sloping roof without any peaks. Lean-to sheds are usually built next to an existing structure like buildings, garden walls, or fences. So, the roof only has one side. If you have space constraints and are looking to build a small, narrow shed, this type of roof is the best choice. The slope of this roof should be angled enough to allow water, snow, and other materials to fall from the roof easily.
