1. Cost effective - Metal is more cost effective than a wood building is. You can find metal barn kits that have all that you need to add a barn to your property easily and for a much lower cost than you could with wood.
If your doors are too far gone to repair, you have a couple of options. You can buy a set of replacement doors, have them shipped to your home and you can install them yourself. It's an easy process and the doors cost anywhere from about $250 to $350.
At first we were thinking of converting the living room basically into another room. There's problems with this approach though. For one thing, we'd have to sacrifice a nice entertainment area. But the other thing is that no matter how we sliced it, there was no way to make it really look good. Although this was doable, and not terribly expensive, it didn't really excite us.
