#3. Properly paint your doors to protect the wood. They should be painted on the outside as well as the inside paying particular attention to the bottoms of the door. Rain water bounces off the ground into the bottom of the shed doors. This is the reason the bottom of your doors rot first. This is also the same reason the siding of your shed rots on the bottom so pay particular attention when painting the siding.
In this step you will have to board up the sides or walls with your sheeting or siding. When you get the wall done you will have to board over the roof. If you have step by step plans follow your plans.
Of course, none of us is required to buy into the consumerist mentality. We can step off the hedonic treadmill whenever we want. We can choose to live more simply and forget about the Joneses. (They've already forgotten about you, by the way.)
